Inline skating safety tips
Whether the artistic inline skates are used just for fun in your free time or to pursue competitive goals - a few basic safety rules should always be observed in order to significantly reduce the risk of accidents:
Wear suitable protective equipment such as a helmet, knee, elbow and wrist pads.
Only skate in places where inline skating is permitted and safe.
Make sure the surface is flat, clean and dry - free of sand, glass or other obstacles. Avoid sloping routes and roads with heavy traffic.
In busy areas: Be careful and watch out for pedestrians and other skaters.
Check your inline skates regularly!
- Stoppers: Check the height of the stoppers and adjust them if necessary.
- Wheels & axles: Check wheels, axles and screws before every ride. Tighten loose parts without overtightening.
- Wear: Check the wheels for uneven abrasion - turn or replace if necessary.
- Replacing stoppers: Replace worn stoppers on time and take care not to damage the thread.
Remember: Your safety is your own responsibility!
